A Supportive Care Concept at ANOVA
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory joint disease. These inflammations are typically associated with overheating, articular effusion, swelling and redness. In principle, rheumatoid arthritis can be divided according to the cause of the disease. An acute and threatening infectious disease is bacterial arthritis (also called septic arthritis), caused by germs in the joint. This can be distinguished from non-bacterial (abacterial) arthritis in rheumatic diseases, as well as post-infectious arthritis (e.g. in coxitis fugax), arthritis in metabolic diseases (e.g. gout) and last but not least, osteoarthritis, which results from joint inflammation due to immunological reactions caused by mechanical abrasion of wear joints.
A balanced supply of vitamins and nutrients is a general prerequisite for normal cellular function. Research is investigating whether infusion therapy may help support metabolic and immune processes relevant to osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis and thereby contribute to symptom management and general wellbeing.
At ANOVA, it is used as a supportive, complementary measure alongside established rheumatological treatment and is not intended to replace it.

Research on the stem cell secretome in joint disease is at an early, exploratory stage. The available findings come from laboratory research and small, initial clinical investigations; they do not allow conclusions about a benefit for patients.
Contraindications
Our stem cell treatments are experimental, but we only treat patients for whom we believe the risk/benefit ratio indicates treatment based on the state of the art, i.e., medical, scientific evidence.
Please understand that we therefore do not treat patients for whom the following points apply:
- Active cancer in the last two years
- Not yet of legal age
- Existing pregnancy or lactation period
- Unable to breathe on own, ventilator
- Difficulty breathing in supine position
- Dysphagia (extreme difficulty swallowing)
- Psychiatric disorder
- Active infectious disease (Hepatitis A, B, C, HIV, Syphilis, or other)
